There are 1.5 billion active users on Facebook, and the average user checks their page 5 times a day. The tips in this article are nothing new, however pay attention to the details in our techniques because those details can be the difference of a successful or a failing social media strategy.

Stand Out

Separate yourselve from you competition. You don't want to look like your doing the same thing hundreds of others companies are doing. Think about what makes you different. Are you faster, have a new idea, deliver your product in another way? You can even have the same thing as another company and market it, as long as the masses don't. Show your audience the side that others don't. Give them a reason to choose you over the hundred other business in your area. When they look at your page, it should be obvious what you do different so it's a No Brainer.

Pay Attention

Growing up, I was always told I had two ears on one mouth. I always hated it when my dad told me to stop talking and just listen. As I got older, I realized that a key factor to success in business was being able to listen to our customers wants and needs. Most of the time you'll find that if you take the time to interact and talk with your fans you'll be more successful. We're all busy, but don't let all the posting and running your business distract you from the most important factor in your company - Your Customers. Give them the attention they diserve - without them you wouldn't have a business anyways.

Go Viral!

Going viral is hard, specifically if people view something as boring or unisteresting. Take the time to find that "seceret sauce" which will make your content go through the roof. No one can ever predict if something will go viral or not, but the faster things go viral, the more people will see it and go to your website. Start by sharing meaningful things related to your business. Make sure they can help people, and that it will provide them some value and a reason to share it. The more you do this, the more people will start to like you and share your content.

While these tips are heard time and again, these are the important basics most people forget or fail to do. Start practing these suggestions and you'll soon start to see an increase in activity on your pages.
